Ferguson and Company
Serving the Triangle Area and Eastern North Carolina
You will be asked to absorb a lot during the purchase process. All this combined with the seller's disclosure and what you notice yourself makes the experience even more overwhelming. What should you do?
... Relax! Most of your inspection will be maintenance recommendations, life expectancies and minor imperfections. These are nice to know about, however, the issues that really matter will fall into four categories:
1. Major defects. An example of this would be structural failure.
2. Things that lead to major defects. A roof leak, for example.
3. Things that hinder your ability to finance, safely occupy/insure the home.
4. Safety hazards like an exposed, live buss bar in the electrical panel.
Often a serious problem can be corrected inexpensively, to protect both life and property!
Anytime that you are purchasing a property, we understand that it is a HUGE investment. Everyone involved needs to know the facts about the property. We take pride in providing this service. The majority of our business is from client referrals, from people just like you; some of our referrals come to us from mortgage broker and real estate agent recommendations. No matter how we are contacted, we work directly for the client. Our job as your Wake Forest home inspecotr is to insure that the client understands every item that may be reported. We do not and will not ever pay for referrals.
Our job does not end after the report is completed. We believe it never ends... Should you have any questions months or years down the road, we want you to call on us; we will do whatever we can to try to ensure that you are completely comfortable with the property, and we will give you sound advice. You will find lots of free consumer information about your property and how to maintain it listed on our site, in our library. Use it anytime!
We are here to assist you in making a confident decision about your property. Whether you are buying a new property and want to be sure of what you're getting, buying an existing structure and need to know what to expect in terms of maintenance or repairs, selling a property and want to eliminate possible problems that could delay or lose a sale, or just want a professional to inspect and advise you on the condition and maintenance or safety recommendations of your current home, we are here to help.
